The largest agro-industrial exhibition in Ukraine. Sharing practical experience
On 7 June 2018 Alexander Yakovlev, the Managing Partner of Moore, and Andriy Kagarlytskiy, the Senior Audit Manager, participated in “AGRO-2018” in Kyiv along with LLC “Intersert – Ukraine”, the official representative office of the German body for the certification of management systems and personnel TÜV Thüringen ( TÜV Thüringen) in Ukraine, represented by Volodymyr Kukharchuk, the Director.
“AGRO-2018” is the largest agricultural exhibition in Ukraine and Eastern Europe. The event is considered to be an effective platform focusing on production improvement, implementation of innovative methods and introduction of new products in all the fields of the Ukrainian agricultural industry. Moreover, the exhibition renders opportunities for cooperation with the leaders of international agriculture sector and setting up a dialogue between private businesses and the state, associations and foreign representatives.
The presentation entitled “How to prepare an agribusiness enterprise to obtain internationally recognized certification for gaining access to international financial markets and to available financing” included a lecture highlighting the effective development of food safety management systems in compliance with international standards, regulations and certification systems, such as НАССР, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, as well as emphasising the benefits of international certification. The practical recommendations concerned reengineering of business processes of agricultural enterprises and preparation of financial statements in accordance with international standards, along with criteria for successful business activity.
The program also focused on the sources of available funding and existing EBRD programs available for Ukrainian agribusiness. The program concluded with the open dialog between the speakers and the audience concerning the current main requirements for the food production enterprises in EU.
Such events open up fresh opportunities for expanding the spheres of business activities both for our company and for any other enterprises aimed at supplying products to the international markets.
